 Todd Birdsong is an Adjunct Photography Instructor for Paducah School of Art and Design. He earned his MFA in the Mass Communication and Media Arts College at Southern Illinois University–Carbondale; where his broad studies have emphasized the use of New Media, Generative, and Live Art techniques; executed using traditional and installation approaches to his work. His current research investigates the digital aesthetic of the machine and Glitch Art specifically. Todd has exhibited his photography nationally and internationally through both juried and solo exhibits. Beyond his skills in digital imaging, Todd also uses alternative and historical processes in his image making, and connects the two worlds of the digital and the analog through the use of digital negatives. Todd also creates time and sound based media works originating in the transmission (radio) arts and creates both folk and electronic instruments.
