Paul Aho is Director of Paducah School of Art and Design, where he also teaches digital photography. Paul was the first recipient of the Palm Beach County Cultural Council’s Ubertalli Award for Artistic Achievement and is a two-time recipient of the South Florida Cultural Consortium’s Visual and Media Artists Fellowship. In 2010 he was also awarded an individual artist’s fellowship from The Santo Foundation through an international call to artists.

Paul graduated magna cum laude with a BFA degree from Florida State University and earned a MFA degree from the University of South Florida, Tampa. He has held administrative positions as chief program officer for Palm Beach Photographic Centre, and dean of the School of Art at the Armory Art Center. He has also served as director of visual art services and public art programs for the Palm Beach County Cultural Council.

Prior to moving to Kentucky, he was an adjunct professor of art at Florida Atlantic University. He is the author of Surfing Florida: A Photographic History, published by University Press of Florida.
