John Hasegawa is an Assistant Professor of Ceramics for Paducah School of Art and Design. Previously, John taught as a full-time Instructor of Ceramics and 3-D Design at Emporia State University; Studio Manager and Ceramics Instructor at University Massachusetts Dartmouth; and  Artist-in-Residence/Ceramics Instructor at Worcester Center for the Crafts. He has exhibited regularly since 1996 and serves as curator for Paducah School of Art’s National Ceramics Invitational.  During the summer of 2013 he participated in a one-month artist residency at the Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen China, where he launched a new body of work using slip-casting techniques. He has been invited to present Soda for Surface, a four-day soda firing workshop at Peters Valley School of Craft, Layton, NJ in summer 2015.
